The restaurant “Las Palmas” is located just one block from La Antigua’s central park and operates in a house that is more than 100 years old. Several generations lived in the house until in 1997 when it was first rented out for 4 years as a hotel. Then it became the Hotel-Restaurant “Las Palmas”.
In 2003, and under the management of René, the local was remodeled to provide services only as an international food restaurant and, under this concept, the menu has not changed but has been perfected based on the popularity and preference for certain dishes.
Las Palmas has also been recognized for providing an excellent service, live music every night and for its varied and complete bar. The music at this restaurant is so important that, on its walls, you can enjoy photos of famous local and foreign artists and groups that have played at the restaurant. Las Palmas has now incorporated free salsa lessons on Wednesdays and Thursdays, because everyone likes it!
During your visit, you will find a great team with vast experience, waiting to assist you as only they can. They are the architects of the kitchen and the attention to customers, they are creative, organized and aware of the great responsibility they are carrying on their shoulders.

“We come to Guatemala every other year, during the end of year celebrations. Antigua is usually packed that time of the year, but we always come to this restaurant in a very large group and have a great time. The ambiance is great, the service is excellent and the food delicious; we have never had anything we did not like. The live band provides a nice back drop for all the fun and family times. Probably will continue to come to this place for as long as it stays open.”
