Fruit of Marzipan

The typical Guatemalan sweets are famous for their delicious flavor. These products have been made for so long, they are part of the gastronomy chapina. The diversity of fruits, seeds, sweeteners that we have in our country, makes the variety of typical sweets even larger; and the imagination of those who make them, make typical sweets an art. One of the most common typical candies is marzipan fruits, made from ground almonds and vegetable dyes. The marzipan fruits are artisanal work because they made by hand, molding the marzipan to give the appearance of the fruit that we want; are adorned with stems and leaflets also made of marzipan. Kids and adults love them, because besides being cute they are delicious.
