ALERT: Cléa Vincent, Pop-Electronic Storm

Their leader Cléa Vincent grew upin a family of jazz (Monk, Brubeck) and Groove lovers. She studied piano at the Paris Conservatory of Music. The young Parisian was inspired by French musicians of the “yé-yé” style as well as France Gall, Michel Berger and Véronique Sanson. As with the generation that grew upin the 90’s and 2000’s, it has great the electronic musical influence.

Cléa was heard for the first time when she participated at the famous open mic Sunday for the French bar Pop In. In 2014, she released her first EP “Retiens mon désir” (“Retain my desire“) and then collaborated with the Mexican-Panamanian artist, Michelle Blades. This friendship resulted in several video clips, among others “Retiens mon désir” (“Retain my desire”) and “Château perdu” (“Lost Castle”).

This season also marks the beginning of the collaboration with Raphael Léger, drummer of Tahiti 80, today a member of the band. As the arranger and co-composer he introduced an electro pop and groovy touch to Cléa’s songs, really modern!

Single “indie” music

On the road to the alternative music scene, the song “Retiens mon désir” has been selected by the Parisian concept store “Colette” to be part of its French Kiss compilation of 2014, as well as the French bands La Femme, Mustang and Onra.

And then came their first appearances on television. The enthusiasm of the public grew more and more, Cléa Vincent with her very particular voice and her joyful concerts are acclaimed by the critics, and have seduced France, Belgium, Switzerland and the United States.

From Paris to La Antigua Guatemala

After having spread their lovely rhythms through Europe and the United States, Cléa Vincent arrives in Central America in September for a month-long tour thanks to the Institut Français d´Amerique Centrale and the French Central American Alliance Network.

They will start in Honduras and El Salvador then will arrive in Guatemala for a concert that you cannot miss in the colonial city of La Antigua Guatemala, and then continue with the tour to Panama and Costa Rica.
The Cléa Vincent concert is organized by the French Alliance of Antigua Guatemala and the Centro de Formación de la Cooperación Española and will be held on Saturday, September 16th at 8 PM at the CFCE Antigua, located on 6a Avenida Norte, Antiguo Colegio de la Compañía de Jesús.
